Discovered in 1869, the ‘Star of South Africa’ was the first large diamond find in the country. On hearing of the stone, the Earl of Dudley purchased it, had it mounted on a head ornament with 95 smaller diamonds and gave it to the countess of Dudley – it was hence known as the ‘Dudley Diamond’.

Combining aromas of ripe blackcurrant and blueberry with flavours of smoky blackberries and subtle spicy oak on the palate, this South African red is great value and excellent quality.Possessing smooth tannins and a long finish, this well-balanced wine pairs especially well with grilled meat such as roasted lamb.
