Product Details

Australia strikes again here and hard. This blew our socks off when we tried it and not only was it an incredible introduciton for Halloween, but it went down so well, we are keeping it on.

Dead Winemakers Society is a homage to those visionary individuals that carved their path in the wine industry before us. They were the crazy ones; the wildeyed wine poets that had a deep respect for both the land they farmed and the process of guiding the fruit to bottle in the most thoughtful and composed manner possible.

From vineyards in Kuitpo, Adelaide Hills: Christmas Hill and Yacca Paddock. Light red clay soils builds pretty, light aromatics and gentle tannin stucture. Handpicked in the morning, the Dolcetto was destemmed into open fermenters and naturally fermented on skins until dry with gentle hand plunging. The wine is ages in stainless steel tank for 18 months then a further six months in bottle before release.
