When one of our customers won a once-in-a-lifetime wine trip to Bordeaux, we knew they were in for something special. Lisa won a fully hosted, all-expenses-paid 5-day escape for two to Château Magnol — right in the heart of French wine country — simply by purchasing a bottle of B&G Chablis from DrinkWell and entering the competition attached. She brought her husband Steve, and together they experienced what Lisa describes as memories to last a lifetime.

"Bordeaux was a beautiful old city steeped in history. Our guide Bruno was a real character and really knew the intricate history of Bordeaux and the relationship with England. We had an impromptu cold beer stop halfway through the tour and Bruno entertained us with funny stories."

Each morning began with fresh baguettes, croissants, cheese, fruit, and strong coffee. By 9am, presentations on Château Magnol, French wine classifications, and a masterclass in blending with Sommelier Omar Baroso. Afternoons were spent visiting Château Smith Haut Lafitte, walking the vineyards, and tasting some of the most remarkable wines Lisa had ever encountered.

"The opportunity to learn and taste some of the special wines Barton and Guestier had to offer was a real treat. I know we will never get that opportunity again. The best part was enjoying these wines with experts from all over the world who quickly became friends.
