Product Details
We love a wine that has a name with historical connection, it adds a layer of depth and significance to the wine! This wine is named after Philip II of Spain who was given the title ‘Tierra del Rey’, translating to ‘King of Chile’, after he married Queen Mary I of England. It is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the iconic wine-producing region of Chile, Central Valley. This incredibly refreshing and versatile wine is the perfect accompaniment to lots of dishes.
Tasting Notes
Pale lemon in colour, this Sauvignon Blanc combines aromas of fresh grapefruit and lime, followed by green gooseberry and melon on the palate. Herbaceous flavours marry exquisitely with fresh tingling acidity creating a crisp lively finish. Perfect as an aperitif or accompany with grilled mackerel and avocado salad or clam chowder.

Region
Chile strikes again! Tierra Del Rey is produced in Central Valley, one of the most important wine-producing regions of Chile. This area of Chile lies nestled between the grand Andes Mountain range and the Pacific Ocean, making it a prime spot for cultivating grapes. The Central Valley is sheltered by the mountains, creating a dry and hot climate, whilst the ocean breeze helps keep the grapevines cool. The combination of conditions is what helps produce full-flavoured wines whilst maintaining that all important acidity essential to make perfectly balanced wines.
