Barton & Guestier was started by Thomas Barton, who founded his wine shipping company in 1725 in Bordeaux after emigrating from Ireland. His delicious wine quickly brought unbelievable levels of prosperity; by 1747 he was considered Boudreaux's number one shipper and was nicknamed ‘French Tom’. When his grandson took over in 1802 he teamed up with Daniel Guestier, a French Trader, and created Barton & Guestier, now the oldest wine merchant in Bordeaux. They continue to produce delicious unique wines to this day.

Flavours
Tasting notes: Chateau Barrail Laussac Bordeaux is deep ruby red in appearance and holds a complex pallet which is dominated by fruity aromas of cherry, blueberry and raspberry as well as black pepper. This is beautifully balanced out with smooth tannins and a delicious spicy aftertaste.
Ideal food pairings: This Bordeaux tastes delicious on its own or it pairs splendidly with classic dishes such as duck breast or hearty beef-based dishes because of its dominant aromas.
Serving
Serving temperature: Chateau Barrail Laussac Bordeaux is best served slightly below room temperature, between 15 to 18°C to help accentuate vibrant flavours.
Glass Style: Opt for a large, rounded bowl with your Bordeaux; this allows the glass to seize the aromas of the wine.
