Product Details

KWV is one of South Africa’s leading wine and spirit producers, with an impressive
international reputation and history. We love how their dynamic winemaking team are
bringing an innovative approach and modern wine styles. KWV has 72 growers from every region of the Western Cape so it has unrivalled access  to all South Africa’s wine regions and grape varietals, from cool climate Walker Bay  Sauvignon to hot and arid Swartland Shiraz. Its winemakers work closely with the vineyards and the results shine a light on South Africa’s amazing regional strengths.

The grapes were hand harvested into bins in the cool of the morning. They were then
whole-bunch pressed and only free-run juice was used for the final blend. A selected yeast strain was used for primary fermentation. A 10% portion of the Chardonnay was allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation. The wine was blended and bottled, and underwent a secondary fermentation in the bottle. This was followed by bottle maturation of approximately 24 months. Only then was it disgorged, corked and  labelled.

Pairing Description
Enjoy this bubbly well chilled and on its own or with delicately flavoured food, particularly seafood dishes and entrées
