Region

As suggested in the name, the fruit is sourced from vineyards in the Pays d’Oc area in the South of France. With a Mediterranean climate, this area enjoys the best of both worlds; hot, dry summers and mild wet winters. The cool winds that blow in from the north-west help reduce grape disease pressure, while the warmer winds from the south bring the right amount of moisture for the grapes. This area of France has relatively low humidity which helps with the quality of grapes grown. Having said that, the weather patterns can change from year to year, impacting the grape ripening and harvest timing, making winemaking an ever-changing and dynamic process.

Tasting Notes

Les Boules Rouge Pays d’Oc has been crafted using a harmonious combination of French grapes: Merlot (50%), Grenache Noir (30%), Carignan (20%). This blend creates a beautifully balanced wine with ripe forest fruits on the nose, whilst on the palate is soft and juicy. The wine's supple tannins and refreshing acidity intertwine to create a smooth and captivating experience.
