Product Details

Sessions Shiz is an expressive Australian Shiraz that captures the essence of one of Australia’s most prominent wine regions: the Adelaide Hills. With 9% ABV, Sessions Shiz is one of our lighter alcohol wines. Although slightly lighter in alcohol and calories, it certainly does not compromise on taste.

Tasting Notes

Sessions Shiz is deep crimson in colour with lots of black pepper and purple fruit characters, and hints of vanilla and cured meat, while also being a fresher, vibrant, ‘nouveau’ style with minimal oak influence. The lighter body and acidity of the Shiraz complement the tender texture and slightly smoky flavors of grilled poultry. Duck, with its richer flavor, pairs especially well due to the wine's ability to cut through the fat.

Region

This Australian Shiraz is produced in a family vineyard in Kuitpo, in the southern Adelaide Hills. The Adelaide Hills is a prominent wine region in South Australia best known for its cool-climate wines and picturesque landscapes. The Shiraz wines from this region are typically lighter compared to Shiraz wines from warmer regions. Sessions Shiraz is a perfect example of this!
